Most people who score a hundred are quite happy. Most who score a double hundred are reasonably ecstatic. Virender Sehwag, however, after compiling/smashing 201 against Pakistan has “blamed” the pitch, or rather has critisised it for being a poor Test pitch (hard to disagree). Sehwag has infuriated me since I first saw him play – seemed to be God-gifted but lazy and arrogant. I hope he’s finally going to be the player he can be: he’s become the fastest Indian to 3000 Test runs, taking just 55 innings and surpassing Mohammad Azharuddin who took 64 to reach the same milestone.
Keep going, Sehwag, but don’t get cocky.
