Tendulkar on verge of new milestones

Tendulkar threatens to hijack first Pakistan Test – Pakistan in India – 2005: HTCricket.com

One of the first of no doubt hundreds of articles on the upcoming Indian and Pakistan series focusses on Tendulkar, and the potential of him securing two major milestones; reaching 10,000 Test runs (wow) and beating Sunny Gavaskar’s world record 34 Test hundreds (double wow). Sachin is only 31 (I think) – he’s not the player I first watched in 1994, but is still a disgustingly-gifted bat who I’d pay to watch make even 8*. He needs 121 to achieve both the above milestones – and to do it against Pakistan would no doubt be the icing on the cake for him and his team.
