South Africa finally won a One Day International (ODI from now on) beating England by 3 wickets with only 5 balls to go. They were well placed on 190-4 but lost Gibbs, Kemp, Smith & Boucher – the latter, Boucher, played a gem of an innings ultimately winning it for them. England too were very well placed and threatened to top 290-300, but none of their middle order fired and their innings petered out. So it makes a good series – 1 all. That win was South Africa’s 2nd in 15 games, and Smith’s first ODI hundred.
