Having recovered from next-to-nothing-for-seven to reach 190 (very nearly, encouragingly so, batting out all their 50 overs), Bangladesh are currently showing the world just how not to bowl. It’s a real mess – Trescothick and Strauss are just having a nice, easy, confidence-boosting net. What disappoints me most, apart from the shoddy bowling, is the captaincy. Where is the captain? These poor young bowlers are being laced to kingdom-come, and the Captain appears clueless as to what to do.
Trescothick’s 100th ODI match, and probably his easiest to date. Poor old Bang – they, perhaps more than anyone, must be feeling The Ashes Fever (c) more than anyone in the country. It’s sad to watch.
